These marshes are one of the landowners oldest reserve, purchased in 1926 to be held 'in perpetuity as a bird breeding sanctuary', providing a blueprint for nature conservation which has been replicated across the UK. Today, Cley Marshes is one of the country's most popular birdwatching sites, attracting more than 110,000 people annually. The six hides give fantastic views across pools and scrapes. The award-winning visitor centre features interactive interpretation and catering facilities.
