This is a 700 acre nature reserve with a unique mix of habitats, for a wide range of wildlife species, including: ancient woodland, wetlands, wildflower meadows, farmland, rivers and open water. It is also the site of the Saxon village of Pensthorpe, which was mentioned in the Domesday Book, and has the ecologically important river Wensum running through it. It is home to four of the most spectacular gardens inc the Millennium Garden, designed by world-famous Dutch plantsman Piet Oudolf.
